Development of the commercial implementation of the ARPA network on an implementation called FAXPAK. This provided for dissimilar facsimile machines to transfer information by collecting, digitizing and “packetizing” the data, transmitting it over a packet switched public network, reassembling the data at the destination and delivering it to the target machine.
Developed systems were deployed in both the US and for the Government of Spain
Project schedule overhaul to bring a year+ delayed project into production in 9 months.
Development of a patented facsimile conversion network system utilizing custom hardware and software
Activities included membership and participation in the IEEE committee developing the X.25 packet switch standards, management of the integration of the access, message, packet and link level protocols, deployment of the network nationwide and creation of the Network Performance Measurement department
